After a great win against Tech last week, there could be a possibility for the Longhorns to possibly look pass the UTEP Miners. However, there was no way that Mack Brown and & Colt McCoy were going to let that happen and showed up to DRK stadium ready to play some good ol' Texas football. The game started off close for only a couple minutes as the scoreboard showed 7-7 in the first quarter. But things changed quickly as Freshman D.J Monroe ran a 91 yard kickoff return and made it 14-7. Monroe was the first Longhorn to run back to kickoffs for touchdowns in one game. The game was very lopsided as the Longhorns outscore the Miners 47 to 7 in the first half and 17 to in the second half. The only score from the Miners came off a interception touchdown return from Melvin Stephenson II. The Longhorns come off a great win and prepare for a nice bye week until they have the Colorado Buffaloes come into town. Hookem Horns!
